How the book is going.
I absolutely love this book so far. The Hunger Games is honestly, one of the best books I have ever read since The Da Vinci Code. So far, the story is progressing as expected, nothing really surprising, however I still love this book. What I like most about this book is the impossible situations that these characters are put in, such as when Katniss took her sister's place in the Hunger Games and when Katniss had to pretend in front of all Panem, to love Peeta, even though she knows that when the time comes, she will have to kill him. The Hunger Games is extremely thrilling and I can't wait to see what the outcome of this book is.
About the book
I am reading a book called The Hunger Games. This book takes place in a future where the U.S no longer exists and instead is known as Panem, which is split in to 12 districts. Each district is specialized in a certain trade. Every year two children, one boy and one girl, are chosen from each district to fight to the death. The protagonist of the story is named Katniss. Katniss is a loving sister, who takes care of her family because her father died in an accident, and her mother's occupation is not enough to provide for the family. Also, she is a exceptional hunter, that often hunts squirrels and turkeys. Katniss ends up volunteering to join The Hunger Games, to protect her sister who was chosen as a tribute(contestant). As the story unravels there are many interesting twists to the story, some being expected, some being unexpected.

Friday blog
I finished reading my IR book in about two nights. I read a little more than half the book on my first night of reading, which was about 250 pages. On the second night I read the rest of the book, which actually felt like it took longer to read than the first half. The second half of the book was basically showing how Katniss and Peeta's relationship becoming more intimate. To me, this it was really painful to read because it was extremely boring, and I had to really force myself to read it.
As for pace, I'd have to say that I read this book very fast. Actually, I wasn't expecting to finish this book within a week, because it has a lot of pages and small font, however, I was really enticed in the book and just had to see what happened in the end.

The Hunger Games
I just started reading a new book called The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. The book is really interesting. I only read the first three chapters, but I really like the book. I don't want to spoil the whole story that has unwound so far, but I'm just going to say that the story is very sad. The Hunger Games, is a sporting event where two children from every village fight to the death. Basically what has happened so far is that the main character's beloved sister is chosen at random to enter the Hunger Games. The main character decides to replace her little sister as the entree for the Hunger Games. So far, that is all I have read in the book and I think its about to get even better.
